Veterans Memorial Park of Kentucky has two missions:
With more social history being taught in the education systems, less military history is being taught. and, the history in textbooks are being rewritten. The project addresses these situations in a meaningful manner, including DIRECTLY involving youth in the project.
Youth involvement and education is what makes Veterans Memorial Park of Kentucky one of the most unique parks for veterans in America. In addition, docents (e.g. students/adult volunteers) will provide guided group tours to groups in the future.
Even the brick pad at the main entrance is special. There are three types of bricks: veterans/active duty, POW/MIA, and KIA/Died in Service of Country/Remains not Found.
Please notify the Board Chair below if you or your organization would like to receive a presentation on or more information about the project.
